Hill Country Regatta in Palacios (April 28-29)

Due to low water at Lake Buchanan, we will be having the Hill Country Regatta in Palacios on the weekend of April 28-29. 
We will have two days of racing.  Races start at 11 am on Saturday, April 28th and 10 am on Sunday, April 19th.
Everyone is encouraged to stay at the Luther hotel only a block from the regatta site.  Let them know that you are with the Hill Country Regatta to get a 10% discount.
Finally, we will be having dinner at the Outrigger restaurant on Saturday evening.

Camping
Will there be any place to tent camp or for RV camping on a Beach or Park?

Serendipity RV Park is few blocks west; a fair number of us have used it over the years. Bayside is a bit farther but seems to have good reviews on the web. People have camped at the city park in the "old days" but again, not sure how that goes down now - the county mounties didn't really take to it all that well. Y'all have fun!

Anybody use Bayside without an RV?
Like tent or 'car' camping?

Bayside RV website talks about "casitas", I think that may mean small cabins?
Three new Casitas, Casita Azul, Verde & the Casita Cancun"
One time we stayed in a (temporarily vacant) camper, we just called ahead & asked for something to sleep in.  They were willing to take some $$ in exchange for a place to crash, and use of their showers by the pool area.

Hill Country this weekend!
Winds are looking good for the weekend.  
Rooms are still available at the Luther a block from the regatta.
We have at least 10 boats coming down from Austin.
Racing starts at 11 am on Saturday.
Hope you can make it to the event!
